Exact Audio Copy 0.99 is an audio CDs grabber through standard CD and DVD-ROM drives.
Exact Audio Copy makes exact digital copies of your audio CDs using several technologies like multi-reading with verify and AccurateRip.
When you install the program, it detects and configures your CD/DVD drives automatically, and lets you choose which one you wish to use. You can also choose what´s more important to you, speed or accuracy. Then, with an audio CD in the drive, the program will measure your CD/DVD drive performance, in order to apply settings.
You can choose the output format between MP3, WMA or FLAC at install time, or choose it later. In order to compress files to the MP3 format, you need to install a third party application like LAME, Exact Audio Copy DOES NOT include it, but gives you a link to download it for free. As LAME doesn´t have an installation module, EAC will locate where it´s saved in your disk, and will use it from that location.
You can have access to freedb to retrieve CD´s info, by entering an email address.
You can then put on your CD Drive the CD to rip, get its info from freedb and rip it in the format you like.
